Bunny Bread Rolls

  • RECIPE MAKES: 5 large bunny rolls
  • COOK TIME: 1hr 40mins
Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas mark 6.

Step 2

Place the water, dried yeast, sugar, psyllium husk and tomato puree into a bowl, stir well and allow to stand for 10 minutes, until the mixture thickens.

Step 3

In another bowl, place the Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix and 4 tbsp oil. Add to the thickened mixture and combine until it forms a dough.

Step 4

Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes, until double in size.

Step 5

Dust a surface with the Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix and separate the dough into 6 pieces.

Step 6

Take one piece and roll into a 15cm long sausage shape.

Step 7

Shape into a ‘U’ so that both ends are equal and twist the ends to cross twice. Repeat another 4 times.

Step 8

With your last ball of dough, make 5 ball shapes and place into the bottom of the ‘U’ shape.

Step 9

Brush the bunnies with the remaining oil. Rest for another 10 minutes.

Step 10

Oven bake on a greased oven tray for 40 minutes or until golden brown then leave to cool before serving.

  • 380ml Warm water
  • 6g Dried yeast
  • 3g Sugar
  • 9g Psyllium husk powder
  • 2 tsp Tomato puree
  • 500g Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix (plus extra for dusting)
  • 5 tbsp Oil
