Chocolate Apple Rolls

  • PREP TIME: 10 minutes
  • COOK TIME: 20 minutes
Step 1

Peel and grate the apples, then immediately sprinkle with lemon juice.  

Step 2

Roughly chop the Chocotino/ Vitabite and add a tablespoon of Mevalia Bread Mix, then mix together. 

Step 3

Combine the brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, blancmange powder, remaining Mevalia Bread Mix and baking powder. 

Step 4

Melt the butter and mix with the water.  

Step 5

Mix the liquid ingredients into the flour mixture.

Step 6

Fold in the grated apple and lastly the chocolate. 

Step 7

Remove pieces of the dough and form into a shape of your choice (rolls, croissants, spirals) and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. 

Step 8

Bake in a fan-assisted oven for 15 minutes at 150°C. Glaze with melted butter and bake for a further 5 minutes.

USEFUL TIPS The amount of liquid needed may vary depending on the variety of apples used.

  • 200g apple
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 360g Mevalia Bread Mix
  • 15g vanilla blancmange powder
  • 60g water
  • 30g butter
  • 10g baking powder
  • 50g Chocotino/ Vitabite
  • Butter for glazing
  • A squeeze of lemon juice
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
