Banana Bread

  • RECIPE MAKES: 8 portions
  • COOK TIME: 35 minutes
Step 1

Preheat oven to 190°C/fan 170°C/gas mark 5.

Step 2

Cream together the sugar and the mashed bananas in a bowl.

Step 3

Add the Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix, baking powder, vanilla essence, ProZero and egg replacer to the bowl and combine.

Step 4

Pour mixture into the loaf tin.

Step 5

Bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 40 minutes or until skewer inserted into the centre of the loaf comes out clean.

Step 6

Place on a wire rack and allow to fully cool.

Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix and ProZero are foods for special medical purposes and must be used under medical supervision.

  • 100g Dark brown muscavado sugar
  • 3 Ripe medium bananas, peeled and mashed
  • 200g Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 75ml ProZero
  • 1 ½ tsp Egg replacer
